HSC Result Day (Day 0)

Calculate your exact GPA immediately. Determine which institutions and units you are eligible for. Do not wait for official circulars — begin document preparation the same day your results are published.

Days 1 to 7: Collect and Attest Documents

Collect original mark sheets from your college. Get attested photocopies from a gazetted officer or your college principal. Collect 10 or more passport photos in advance to avoid rush later.

Days 7 to 21: Online Applications Open

Most public universities release their admission circular within 2 to 3 weeks of HSC results. Apply on the first day applications open. Early applicants avoid server overload and deadline pressure. Keep payment receipts carefully.

Days 30 to 60: Admit Card and Exam Preparation

Download and print admit cards as soon as they are released. Verify all personal details are correct. Contact the university immediately if any information is wrong — corrections take time.

Engineering

BUET, CUET, RUET, KUET

Apply online through each university's official portal. All require minimum GPA 4.00 in SSC and HSC combined (Science group). Admission test date is published on the official website only.

General

DU, JU, RU, CU, KU

Apply per unit through the respective university portal. Most require minimum GPA 3.50 or above in both SSC and HSC. Unit Kha (DU) has the most competitive cutoff historically.

Medical

Government Medical Colleges

Single centralised application through DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) portal. Must have Biology in HSC. Minimum GPA requirement applies to both SSC and HSC separately.

Private

NSU, BRAC, AIUB, IUB, DIU

Rolling admissions throughout the year. Apply directly on each university's website. Admission tests are shorter and less intense. Merit scholarships are available for high GPA applicants.
